Interior Decorating With Drink Coasters

Coasters are highly functional items which are designed to protect and maintain the beauty of your homes surfaces. They act as barriers, placing their own material form in the way of sharp edges or water damage that can occur from a carelessly placed glass. However they have another, more subtle function, which actually allows them to play a role in the artistic development of a room’s atmosphere.

The thing about coasters is that their tiny. Because of this people don’t tend to notice them very much. However usually you don’t just have a single coaster, rather these pieces are often sold in sets. These sets can be quite numerous, allowing these functional devices to spread out through a space, helping to conduct color and huge, or form a theme throughout the underlying atmosphere of the space.

They aren’t overt; rather they can play a subtle role in the artistic development of a room. Their effect is on the undercurrents of atmosphere, allowing them to add a layer of depth to the nature of the space. This is further mitigated by the temporary nature of these pieces. They tend to be pulled out for special occasions, when guest arrive, and then used, moved through the space as necessary, slipping into any crack or crevice where water damage may occur.

This layer of depth can be used for a variety of purposes. Seasonally themed coasters can be spread out to add a subtle blanket to the room. This allows you to be festive, without being overt; giving the room hints of theme that can easily be transferred in and out, or changed according to the desires of the artist in charge.

It’s important to understand that coasters are more than just functional tools. They are like tiny canvases, allowing you to add blocks of color or hue to a space, without making an overt or permanent change. In this way you can test out different design schemes, mixing and matching before making a permanent commitment or simply changing things up based on the whims of the designer’s artistic desires.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay $37 Busch Gardens at Tampa Bay is a 335-acre 19th century African-themed park located in the city of Tampa, Florida.
