ZooQ is seeking a talented Java mobile app engineer with the ability to design the mobile app user interface and connectivity architecture and build out the mobile app.
Responsibilities:
- Be the initial and primary mobile app engineer.
- Make architectural design decisions that impact the overall application.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to solve problems and discover new opportunities.
- Work closely with other marketing and other engineers to deliver a superior user experience.
- Manage time effectively with minimal supervision to accurately scope projects and ensure that projects release on-time.
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in web application development.
- Experience developing mobile applications with Java ME.
- Experience with GlassFish and NetBeans.
- In-depth experience developing numerous mobile applications.
- Strong experience with object oriented design and and design patterns.
- Strong creativity and problem solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership.
- Strong commitment to quality and usability.
- Previous early stage startup experience highly desired.
