ZooQ is seeking a talented Java engineer with Swing/AWT user interface design expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Be the initial and primary application/applet user interface engineer.
- Make user interface design decisions and interface with the server team.
- Interpret marketing and engineering requirements to deliver functional solutions.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to solve problems and discover new opportunities.
- Work closely with marketing and other engineers to deliver a superior user experience.
- Manage time effectively with minimal supervision to accurately scope projects and ensure that projects release on-time.
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in web application development.
- Experience developing Swing/AWT applications and applets.
- Experience with GlassFish and NetBeans.
- In-depth experience developing client/server applications.
- Strong experience with object oriented design and and design patterns.
- Strong creativity and problem solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership.
- Strong commitment to quality and usability.
- Previous early stage startup experience highly desired.
